Larry Michael "Mike" Carter was born on February 1, 1963 in Springfield, MO to Jonna (Hooper) Carter and Larry G. Carter.  He passed away unexpectedly in his sleep of natural causes on October 28, 2019.

Mike was a loving father, new grandfather and devoted son.  Master "fixer" of all things mechanical, a talent since childhood.  Mike took great pride in all projects large or small.  His mother's garden is a beautiful testament to his artistic eye for detail.  Spending time with his family, tinkering on home projects, cooking and fishing brought him great joy.  He was blessed with the family's quirky sense of humor and could belly laugh with the best.  No one could ask for a more loving father, son, brother, uncle, granddad or friend.  He blessed us all.

Survivors include two sons, Patrick Carter and Jeremy Carter (Julie Dziema), mother Jonna Gibson (Whit Ehrler), father Larry G. Carter (Joan), sister Cathy Barrett (Brian), nephew James Barrett and grandson Remington Carter.

Memorial services will be held at 11:30 am Saturday, November 2, 2019 in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
