Michael Donnell McCrimmons, was born December 20, 1991 to Tammy Jackson and Larry McCrimmons, in Joplin , Missouri. At an early age, Michael with his parents moved to Springfield. Michael received his education from Weller Elementary, Jarrett and Parkview High School, graduating Class of 2010. Michael continued his education at Missouri Southern State University, where he and his long time best friend, Diondre Johnson, played football. Michael had a great love of sports. Even when he was not participating, you could see him cheering from the stands, having so much fun. To his family and friends, Michael was a "hugger". Whenever he greeted you, it was always with a hug. Michael - with his vibrant smile and his hugs, will be greatly missed. Preceding him in death are Grandfather Ernest Jackson and great-grandfather, Dexter McCrimmons; great-grandmothers; Phyllis Rodney and Mary Duncan, two aunts and one cousin. Michael is survived by his mother, Tammy Jackson (Terence Johnson); father, Larry McCrimmons; sister, Krisshana, brothers; DeShawn and Anthony; two nieces; Ja'Miea and Kellyce, grandmothers; Joy Jackson, Joplin, Mo., Donna Sue Richardson (Richard) and great-grandmothers; Margaret McCrimmons. Aunt; Tracy Jackson, Joplin, Mo. Uncle; Gary McCrimmons, Arlington, Tx. Close friend and cousin; Steven Johnson and a host of aunts, uncles, cousin and friends. On Friday, December 2, we may have lost a grandson, son, brother, nephew, cousin or friend but God chose to add Michael and his best friend Diondre, to be on His winning team. Visitation will be held Friday, December 9, 2011 from 5 to 8 p.m. in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Funeral service will be held Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the Parkview High School Gym.
