Michael Joseph Logue, 79, Springfield, passed away May 15, 2018. He was born April 23, 1939 in Springfield, the son of Bernard and Mary Francis Logue.

He proudly served as a firefighter, first in Carthage and later in Springfield. He retired from the Springfield Fire Marshall's office.

He was a proud member of St. Agnes High School class of 1957. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and cooking and loved his Irish heritage.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents; his step-mother, Eva Logue; brother, James Logue and a sister, Mary Ann Cantwell.

He is survived by his wife Sandra Goodwin Logue, whom he married August 13, 1993; a son, Michael Joseph Logue, Jr.; brother, John Logue; mother-in-law, Yvonne Goodwin; three step-daughters, Yvone (Eric) Tietze, Leslie (Clarke) Richins, Amy (Brent) Null; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and classmates.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 19, 2018 in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. A visitation will precede the service from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
