Michael D. Jessen, 59, of Springfield, passed away at Mercy Hospital after a short illness on November 28, 2018.   Michael was born August 6, 1959, in Stuttgart, Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Norma Ward Jessen.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Melanie Carden-Jessen; his father, Robert Jessen of Fordland; two brothers, Edward Jessen of Diggins and Wayne Jessen of Fordland, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, additional family and a host of friends.

Michael had a love of life and was passionate about faith, family, politics and football.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, with a visitation from 2:00 PM until the time of service.
