Michael Aubrey Harmon, 40, passed away in Cox South Hospital on June 29, 2009 four weeks after suffering a heart attack. He was born in Springfield, Missouri on May 30, 1969 to Mrs. Margaret Harmon and the late Dr. Ben C. Harmon, who preceded him in death. Michael graduated from Springfield Catholic High School in 1987, going on to serve his country overseas as a member of the United States Army, stationed in South Korea from 1989-1991. He is survived by his mother, Margaret; his brothers, Ben Hugh and Charles; his sister, Lisa; and beloved 3 year old daughter, Emily. The visitation will be in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, July 5. Funeral services will be held in St. James Episcopal Church Monday, July 6 at 9:30 a.m., and he will be buried in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at 11 a.m. A memorial will be held in Ridgecrest Baptist Church at a later date.
