Michael Henry Gerwert, 56, died December 21, 2011 in Springfield, MO. He was born May 28, 1955 to Henry Gerwert of Springfield and Mary Schubert Gerwert, deceased. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jana Gerwert and step-mother, Mildred "Midge" Gerwert. He is survived by his father, Henry Gerwert; sister, Mary Lamb, husband, Reginald and their son, Austin; step-brother, Mark McClelland and wife Debi. Mike was a graduate of Glendale High School in Springfield, MO. He held various positions with Boeing and Positronics Industries. Mike was a life-long Cardinals fan and greatly enjoyed attending Springfield Cardinals games with his father. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Gorman Scharpf Funeral Home, 1947 E. Seminole, Springfield, MO with funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his name to the Evangel University Baseball program, 1111 N.
