Michael Budd Doubledee, age 61 died Wednesday Dec. 2, 2020 at his home, surrounded by family, from glioblastoma, a form of brain cancer. He was born November 28, 1959 to Gertrude and Willus Doubledee, both deceased. He grew up in Battlecreek, Michigan with his two sisters, Dianna Lachance, deceased and Christine Miche'. He volunteered to become a member of the U.S. Army and earned the rank of SSgt. and Master Gunner for M60 and M1 tanks. After 12 years, he left the army and found a career he was truly passionate about. He had many titles at Ozarks Food Harvest, the last being Inventory Manager, and loved every one of them. His greatest joy was helping others.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Margaret Gale Doubledee; his sister Christine Miche' of Lisle, Illinois; daughter Cassandra Hill and husband Alan of Springfield; son Joshua Doubledee and wife Jill Gaddy of Willard; stepsons David Burge and wife Jill of Englewood, Colorado; Stephen, Michael and John Burge of Springfield; Kevin Burge of Memphis, Tennessee; brother from another mother Richard Albrecht and wife Ellen of Gresham, Oregon; grandsons Kenneth and Jayden Franck; Keaton and Calen Doubledee; Stephen, Jason, Aiden, Samuel, and Alexander Burge; granddaughters Isabella Doubledee, Athena Hill, Amanda, Erica and Sasha Burge; extended family, co-workers and good friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.
