Michael Francis Demorast, 85, of Fremont Hills, MO died peacefully in his sleep while at home on February 8, 2009 at 7:10AM. Mike was born in Alton, Illinois on October 5, 1923. He is the son of Francis J. Demorast and Florence E. Tate, both deceased. His sister Teresa is also deceased. Mike served in the Army during WWII and became an avid golfer upon retirement. Mike is survived by his wife Marjorie Ann Demorast. In addition to his wife of 38 years, his survivors include his brother-in-law, Francis Taylor; sister-in-law, Ruth Taylor; and several nieces and nephews in MO, IL, and AL. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February, 11, 2009, at 1PM, in King's Way United Methodist Church on Lone Pine in Springfield under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Burial will follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery. No visitations will be held however friends may call at the funeral home after 3PM on Tuesday, February 10, 2009.
