Obituary

Michael G. Carbone, age 65, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2024, in Springfield, Missouri. Michael was born in Anchorage, Alaska May 5, 1959, to Michael George Carbone and Helen (Rogers) Carbone.

Michael grew up in a military family with loving parents and siblings. They were a dedicated Catholic family, and his faith continued throughout his life until reaching His heavenly home. Mike loved everyone, and everyone loved Mike.

Mike and Pam were blessed to celebrate 33 years of marriage this past June. He had a long career working for Future Foam from the age of 18 until retirement when he was serving as plant manager. Through the years he enjoyed the "lake life". He enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends. He was a good cook and many enjoyed Mike and Pam's hospitality at the lake house with rides on the pontoon and Gator.

For many years, Mike played softball. He loved the game as well as his teammates. Like his dad and family, Mike was a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan as well as the NY Yankees, a proud republican, and we cannot forget the John Wayne room! Through the years, many gathered in their home for many Super Bowl parties when Dallas was winning. And there were over 20 years of wonderful memories made at the lake house with the nieces and nephews, family, and friends.

Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Michael G. Carbone and Helen Rogers Carbone; his sister, Bernadette (Chuck) Andrews; his brothers, Vincent Michael Carbone, and Christopher Michael Carbone; his nephews, Jann Catt and Brandon Carbone; his in-laws, Claude and Jessie Catt; and his brother-in-law, Rex Maberry.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Carbone, of Springfield, MO; his sisters, Patricia (Scott) Simmons of Manassas, VA, Theresa (Steve) Faucette of Raleigh, NC, and Sara (John) Overman of Mount Pleasant, SC; and his many nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews.

Mike, thank you for sharing hugs and your fun-loving, gentle spirit into our lives. We will miss you, Mike, or as many knew him, "Uncle Mike."
