IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael C.
Burros
July 3, 1953 – November 20, 2016
Mike "Pa" Burros was born in Springfield, Missouri on July 3rd, 1953 to Grant and Ellene Burros. On Sunday, November 20th, 2016 he went home to be with the Lord, his brother Richard, and his parents whom he loved so dearly. Mike lived a life full of joy and laughter and said that he "had no complaints and no regrets". He would always drop whatever he was doing to help anyone in any way he could. He was a mentor to anyone who needed it. He always had a special way of telling stories that would make you laugh while also making his point.
Mike did everything he ever wanted to do and he made sure he was the best at doing it. He attended Central High School. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching stock car races and even entering the sport himself. He would spend hours after every race handing out Sport-Shakes (his sponsor's beverage) to his fans. He also enjoyed photography, painting, slot-car racing, and rebuilding classic cars. His newest endeavor was going to be Cowboy Shooting competitions, and as with everything else, he had a plan on how to become the best at the sport. He worked for Hiland Dairy, Mid-Am, and eventually started his own auto body repair shop as he loved to fix cars. He eventually expanded his services to busses as well. After selling his shop, Mike spent the past several years working in home repair and wastewater treatment. There was no problem too big or too small he could not fix with Shoe Goo, Bondo, or his sense of humor and love for others. Mike didn't just fix cars and houses; he fixed the lives of those around him. He truly built a better world for everyone he came into contact with.
Mike's grand-children and great-grandchildren called him Pa. They were the light of his life and there is nothing he would not do for them. Pa made sure to attend as many of his children's, grand-children's and great-grandchildren's events as he could.
Mike's family, friends, and neighbors will always miss him and hold him in a special place in their hearts.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Grant and Ellene, and brother, Richard. He is survived by his significant other, Glenda "Sammi" Bostic, daughter Danielle and her husband Brad, daughter Misty, son Chris and his wife Angela, son Jason, grand-daughter Shelby, grand-daughter Olivia, grand-son Caden, great-grandson Liam, sisters Sherry, Pam, and Tammy, and brothers Timothy, and Mark, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home at 1947 E Seminole on Friday November 25 from 6 P.M. – 8 P.M. A graveside service will be held on Saturday November 26 at 10 A.M. at Evergreen Cemetery at 301-447 Hines St. in Republic, Missouri.
