Mike was born May 27, 1963 at Fort Gordon, GA to Norman and Emma Boyd.  Mike served in the United States Air Force for 20 years retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant in 2003.  His service to his country and the Air Force did not end there, as Mike continued as a civilian serving the Air Force for over 38 years.

Mike loved many things - grilling, motorcycles and corvettes, but he was particularly fond of his family including his dachshunds, Randy the Wonder Dog, Rusty, and Ruthie.  Mike was happiest when he was just hanging out with his dogs and a beverage.

Mike was a fierce patriot and loved military history.  While stationed in Europe he traveled to all the American Battle Monument Cemeteries paying respect to his fallen brethren and reflecting on the service of those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Mike is survived by his loving wife Pam, his sister Ramona Hall and her husband Bruce, many nephews, nieces, cousins, family members, and lots of great friends.  Mike was especially close to his cousins Carmen Boyd and Monica Sherman-Young.

A celebration of life will be at 11:30 am, Friday, 11 March 2022 at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.  Interment at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at 1:00 pm.
