Mera Lee (Hunt) Davis (Lee) crossed over the rainbow bridge into the sunlit presence of her Lord and Savior on March 10, 2024, at the age of 96.
Lee was an honor graduate of Fletcher High School, Jacksonville Beach, Florida and attended Southwest Baptist College, Bolivar, MO. where she met Ivan Davis. They were married on December 26, 1948. Their lives were blessed with two daughters.
While Ivan was employed by Boeing Field Service and NASA contractors, the family lived in ten different states and Puerto Rico for a brief time. Ivan and Lee retired to Springfield, MO in 1994.
Mera Lee had a 33 year career, working as a Secretary for churches, an oil field equipment company, and as a Receptionist/Office Manager for a psychiatric clinic.
She was an active member of First & Calvary Presbyterian Church and loved singing in the choir for 20 years plus volunteered for 13 years at the Crosslines Food Pantry.
She had a strong faith in God. She was an avid reader, loved music, mountains, beaches, flower gardening and watercolor painting.
Death claimed Lee's mother when she was 9 and her father when she was 16, her daughter Nancy, when she was 21, her husband, Ivan at 98, and her beloved sister, Catherine Wolfe.
Survived by Valerie Bietendorf, daughter, son-in-law, Jim Bietendorf, and niece, Karen Teague.
Memorial gifts may be made to First & Calvary Presbyterian Church's music group, the 49ers Sunday school class, Parkinson's Foundation, or Cancer research.
