Margaret Jean Wampler, 56, of Springfield, MO passed away peacefully at 1:43am on Saturday August 10, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on June 9, 1968 to George and Jean Wilkinson in Springfield, MO.

She was a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority, suicide talkz-real stories, and Tequila Wids! a community dedicated to supporting those who have lost a spouse or partner to suicide. She graduated from Missouri State University (formerly known as SMS) with a Bachelors degree in Social Work.

Meg had a humanitarian passion and loved helping those in need especially animals. If you were lucky enough to be her friend then you would know how fiercely loyal she was to all she loved.

She was preceded in death by her husband Chris Wampler, father George Wilkinson, and mother in-law Susie Wampler. She is survived by her mother Jean Wilkinson, kids Courtney Wampler and Alex Wampler, fiance Shawn Elmore, brother Mike Wilkinson, sisters in-law Saundra Wilkinson, Denise Wilkinson, Julie Willoughby, and Crystal Yarnell, Father-in-law Wayne Wampler, Niece Jenn Carey and family, Nephew Sean Wilkinson, Niece Maggie Wilkinson, Niece Grace Yarnell, nephew Dustin Nutter and several grand nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 11:00 am at Christ Episcopal Church with a visitation from 10:00-11:00 am under the care of Gorman Scharpf Funeral Home.
