Obituary

Maxine Teague Curp, 91, passed away on December 26, 2015, at home in Springfield, Missouri.

She was born Anna Maxine Woods on November 6, 1924, to Virda and Oleva Woods on a farm near Mountain Grove, MO. She graduated from Norwood High School in 1942.

She married Donald E. Teague in 1946. They had 4 children, who survive: Susie Cravens (Jim), Rogersville, MO; Barbara Record (Justin Nusse), Willard, MO; Elaine Tolen (Steve), Carmel, IN; Darlene Deas (Rod), Shawnee, KS.

In 1997 she married her long-time friend and duplicate bridge partner, Orville Curp, who preceded her in death in 2011. Her stepchildren survive: Rita Gordon, Kenneth Curp, John Curp, Richard Curp, Karen Schweiler and spouses.

Also surviving: sister, Marjorie Covert (Gary), Branson, MO; sister-in-law, Maxine Holt, Springfield, MO; five grandchildren -- Robert Record (Tessa), Gary Cunningham (Ashley), Melissa Tolen, Cody Deas, Justin Deas; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Maxine loved to travel, having visited several countries and 49 states. An avid duplicate bridge player, she was an ACBL "Silver Life Master". Maxine had been a member of First Baptist Church in Springfield, MO since 1957.

The family thanks Good Shepherd Hospice for their help and support during this time. Susie, Elaine and Darlene thank Barbara for her tireless devotion in caring for their mother these past few years.

Visitation is 5-7 pm, Wed., Dec. 30, 2015 and memorial service is 10 am, Thurs., Dec. 31, 2015 in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens.
