Matthew T. Brown (42) of Nixa, MO, the son of Bryan and Barbara Brown of Columbia, MO, was born on August 21, 1976 in Alma, MI.  Matt passed away in Springfield, MO on July 18, 2019.

He is survived by his parents, his wife of 14 years, Ivy V. Yarckow-Brown, and three children: Thomasina (Thomi) Brown (12), Josefina (Joey) Brown (9) and William (Liam) Brown (6); his brother, Eric Lybeck-Brown and wife Jenny and their children Jonah and Jillian of Columbia, MO; along with his in-laws, Thomas and Patricia Yarckow, of Nixa, MO.  He is preceded in death by his children, Sarah Brown and Geoffrey Brown.

Matt earned a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice at Lake Superior State University in Michigan and a master's degree in Public Administration from Missouri State University.  Matt was employed at Missouri State University in Campus Safety, after he had spent many years in law enforcement in Michigan and child abuse investigation in Missouri.

The funeral will be held for Matt at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 2, 2019 at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.  A luncheon will follow immediately at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Springfield, MO.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in form of a check to the "Matthew T. Brown Memorial Fund."  Any support provided will be used to help fund the futures of Matt's children. Funds may be dropped off at the funeral home prior to and on the date of the funeral, or can be mailed continuously to:
