Maryann D'Alessandro,57 of Springfield passed away Saturday, September 20, 2014. She was born in Brooklyn, New York on December 3, 1956. Her family moved to Branson, Missouri in 1966 where they owned and operated a resort on Lake Taneycomo. After moving to Springfield in 1974, Maryann was a student at Greene Valley School and the Developmental Center of the Ozarks. She went on to become a faithful employee of Springfield Workshop (SWI) for 16 years until 2013. In recent months, she attended Daybreak Adult Care. She is survived by her loving parents, Anthony and Gloria; her devoted sister, Lorraine; special cousin, Vinnie as well as many other cousins in Missouri, North Carolina and Pennsylvania and leaves behind many dear friends in Springfield especially Steve and Stephanie Grant. A memorial mass will celebrate the life of Maryann on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 10 AM at Immaculate Conception Church. The family requests in lieu of flowers that friends and co-workers contribute to the charity or church of their choice in Maryann's memory.
