Mary L. Turner, 52, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away June 24, 2022, in the company of her sisters.  She is survived by her father, Jim Turner of Springfield, her sisters, DeeAnn Jost of Chesterfield, Missouri, Sue Turner of Springfield, Missouri, Amy Witcher and her husband Lance of Sunset Hills, Missouri and her nephews and niece,  Jake, Erik, and Will Jost and Rob, Nick, and Kate Witcher. She is preceded in death by her mother, Glenda Turner.

Mary graduated from Glendale High School and received her bachelor's degree from Missouri State University.  She went on to earn a master's degree from Drury University.  Mary worked for the State of Missouri for 25 years.

Mary's (Aunt Mimi's) passions included music, politics, travel and her family. Some of her favorite times were spent enlightening her nephews and niece on all things hip and meaningful to her.  Laying the groundwork for lessons and ideology that they will carry with them forever.

Everyone who knew Mary knows she was able to put up a good fight. During her life Mary battled cancer twice and wanted it to be known that she was "very hard to kill."

There will be a visitation from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 28th, with the service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Breast Cancer Research Foundation or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
