Mary "June" Hilton Talent, age 85, of Springfield, MO, passed away peacefully Tuesday April 18, 2017.

June, the son of Maud and Alta (Woodhouse) Hilton, was born June 4, 1931 in Galena, MO. June graduated from Republic High School, Republic, MO.  She married Roy Talent, of Republic, MO on November 24, 1950.

June was a homemaker.  Caring for her family was her passion.  She also enjoyed working at Revelation Christian bookstore for several years.  June loved the Lord, her family, and her friends.  Her greatest joy was to see her children and grandchildren happy.  June was a long-time member of Broadway United Methodist Church where she served in many different capacities.  Her hobbies included needlework, flower gardening, collecting salt and pepper shakers, reading and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

June was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Talent.  She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Talent; son, Paul Talent and wife, Kelley; granddaughter, Megan Talent and her fiancé Chase Colton; grandson, Brady Talent; her sister Billie Lee Horton and her cat, Pepper.  The family would like to thank their dear friend and loving caregiver, Darlene Shelley.

A funeral service, officiated by Pastor John Inmon, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 24, 2017 at Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel.  The final resting place will be Hazelwood Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.
