Mary Ann Fredrick Plumlee passed away unexpectedly Saturday, October 14th.  Our hearts are broken.  Mary was a shining ray of light to all who knew her, because inspiring others and lifting them up was what she cared most about.

Mary was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on June 14th, 1952, to Jack and Peggy Fredrick and moved to Springfield when Jack's Army service was complete.  She graduated from Glendale High School in 1970, and soon after married Mike Plumlee, her high school sweetheart. She spent the next several decades becoming the best wife, mom, and Mimi she could be. She never met a stranger and could make a lifelong friend from the simplest of interactions. If you knew her, you also knew how much she adored her grandchildren, Jack, Lucy, Austin and Gavin.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Peggy Fredrick and her grandson, Austin Plumlee. She is survived by her husband Mike; daughter Leanne Pollard (Wes) and son Michael Plumlee; grandchildren Jack Pollard, Lucy Pollard, and Gavin Plumlee; siblings Susan (Craig) Richardson, Linda Hough, and Wayne (Cathy) Fredrick; nephews and nieces she loved as her own, Steven (Allie) and Brad Richardson, Matt (Katie) and Sara Hough, Nathan, Maddy, and Anna Fredrick; and countless friends she loved fiercely and treated as family.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 18th from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, 1947 E Seminole, Springfield, Missouri.
