Mary J. Oheim, 79 of Springfield passed away on Thursday November 1, 2012 in Maple Wood Alzheimer's Special Care Center. She was born July 4th 1933 in West Plains, the only daughter of Guy T. and Lyda C. Wood. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles H. Oheim, and son Gary A. Oheim. Mary was an active member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, where she served on the Library Committee. She was also a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star, and was very supportive of her husband's career in law enforcement, and his activities in the Shrine and the Masonic Lodge. She is survived by her son, Charles W. (Terry) Oheim, granddaughter Lisa M. (Tim) Potthoff, and grandson David R. Oheim and his fiancée Sarah Williams. The family would like to thank Seasons Hospice, Maple Wood, and The Gardens for their excellent care in Mary's time of need.
