Mary Kathleen McIntosh

(August 22, 1929 – February 23, 2017)

Mary Kathleen McIntosh, age 87, of Springfield, Mo., formerly of Strafford, Mo., passed away on Thursday evening February 23, 2017, surrounded by family members. Mary retired from Lily Tulip with over 25 years of service, she volunteered through the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary and was a member of the North Star Baptist Church. She had a love for the outdoors and animals of all kind. Mary always cherished time spent in Strafford, Mo. where she was born and raised. It was there, with her grandkids or on Table Rock Lake, that she found the most joy.

Mary is survived by her three children, Keith McIntosh and wife Jean, Gary McIntosh, and Phil McIntosh and wife Kathy; seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Dwain Patterson and wife Linda.

She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years, Harold L. "Friday" McIntosh in 1998; her parents Charlie and Allene (Fox) Patterson; two sisters and one brother.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 28, at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home in Springfield from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 1 at 10:30 am at Hazelwood Cemetery in Springfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Humane Society of SW Missouri.
