Mary Catherine Joseph, 85, of Springfield, passed away on July 1, 2015, with her family by her side. She was born January 20, 1930, in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Jerry and Bridget Healy. Mary's vibrancy for life was evident in her family, volunteerism, gardening and unique sense of style. She was well loved and will be missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Joseph, and her son, Kevin Joseph. Mary Catherine is survived by her daughters, Colleen M. Smith and Sheila Brizendine; son, Terry Joseph; brother, Jerry Healy; four grandchildren, Joshua Smith, Meagan Mitchell, Lindsay Shadwell and Patrick Smith; two great-grandsons, Wyatt and Oliver; and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 13, 2015, at Tea Bar & Bites Cafe, 621 South Pickwick, Springfield MO 65802, with Father Thomas Kiefer officiating.
