Mary Jane Johnson, 78, of Springfield, passed away on March 22, 2023. She was born in Springfield on April 10, 1944 to Raymond and Mary Swain. Mary was a hard worker and loved her family, nature and animals. She was an advocate for animal rescue. Mary was an artist and party planner who kept life fun and exciting for those around her. She retired from Sweetheart and enjoyed traveling in her free time. She and her daughter Sherri took a trip a year after she retired and they made so many great memories together.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Emmitt Johnson. They were married for 55 years. She always said "Dad was the thinker and she was the doer."

She is survived by her daughter, Sherri Quinn and her husband of 39 years Dan; only granddaughter, Ivy Quinn and her partner Jarrett Mullet; only great grandson, Jaxson Mullet; brother, Max Swain of Spring, TX and niece, Tammy Vich of Springfield.

Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 31, 2023 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
