Mary L. Gladson, 88, of Springfield, passed gently away on Friday, March 9, 2012 at Magnolia Square. She was born in Eldorado, Illinois on November 23, 1923. Mary is survived by a sister, Betty Wilbur; a son, Jack (wife Becki); two grandsons, Matthew (wife Amber) and Jeremy; and two great-granddaughters, Jessica and Cassandra. She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer and two brothers. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the management and staff at Magnolia Square for the loving care given to Mary. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Springfield National Cemetery, under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church where Mary was a member.
