Mary Ann (Mayfield) Giboney, 73 of Springfield passed away Monday, January 22, 2024 at Springfield Villa.  She was born October 30, 1950 in Humansville, Missouri to Clair and Virginia (Carson) Mayfield.

She was a card dealer in Santa Anna, California before moving to Springfield.  Mary retired from Mercy Hospital Housekeeping where she especially loved working on the Labor and Delivery floor.  She was active at Doling Senior Center and helped prepared senior meals.  She also worked part-time at the Hidden Treasure Auction Barn.

She enjoyed making pottery and was an avid reader.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister; brother, Jimmy Mayfield; son, Joseph Fero and a daughter, Debra Fero.

Mary is survived by her husband, whom she married November 25, 1977, Earnest D. Giboney; two daughters, Sandy Fero and Tonia Blue and their families; a son, David Fero and family; step-son, Howard Giboney; step-daughter, Debbie Bain and family; two sisters, Francesca Glass and Wanda Harmon, and two brothers, George and Andrew Mayfield as well as a host of extended family and friends.

The family would like to thank Springfield Villa and Preferred Hospice Staff for their great care and compassion.

A family graveside will take place at Mt. Olive Cemetery at a later date.
