Obituary

Mary Elizabeth (Clopton) Eubanks, daughter of William T. and Bessie L. Clopton, went to be with the Lord on March 5, 2013 due to complications from pneumonia at the age of 85. She was born in Pineville, Missouri and graduated from Aurora High School. She met James L. Eubanks while they were working at the local theatre in Aurora. They married in 1951. From this union six children were born: Cindy (Jerry) Pierce, Miranda, Jean Ann, Greg (Jackie), Gary (Sheila) and Keith (Robin). Mary enjoyed athletics, sewing, knitting, gardening, playing the piano and singing her favorite hymns. She attended Oakland Methodist Church until it closed and recently joined High Prairie Christian Church where she would sing solos and duets. She was preceded in death by James, her parents, two brothers, Tom and Dan Clopton, and one sister, Eloise Ewing. She is survived by one brother, Maurice Clopton; her children; her grandchildren: Tim, Bethany (Daniel), Abby, Derek, Collin, Josh and Wyatt; great-grandchildren: Olivia and Peyton; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Interment will be at Missouri Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, March 8, 2013 at Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel, located at 1947 E. Seminole, from 5-7 p.m. Services will be held Saturday, March 9, 2013 in the funeral home at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Mary Eubanks to High Prairie Christian Church, 569 Red Top Road, Fair Grove, Missouri 65648, or Strafford Booster Club, P.O. Box 547, Strafford, Missouri 65757.
