Mary Ella Crews, 90, Springfield, MO passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2011. She was born March 23, 1920 to George and Ella Hutson in Jonesboro, Ark. Mary was united in marriage to Albert Louis Crews on July 3, 1940. For 68 years they enjoyed a life together that was full of love, respect and devotion, until his death on July 25, 2008. Mary accepted Christ at a young age and was a member of First Baptist Church at the time of her death. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a grandson, James Marstellar, three sisters, and a brother. She is survived by three daughters, Carloyn Goldsberry, husband, Bill, Phyllis Moore, husband, Fred, Cathryn Vincel, husband, George; a sister, Betty Spatig, four grandchildren, David Marstellar, Robyn Vincel Tepper, Merri Moore, and Fred Moore; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11AM, Friday, March 25, 2011 in First Baptist Church, with Reverend Michael Overton officiating, under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Burial will follow in Maple Park Cemetery. No formal visitation is scheduled, however friends may call after 4PM Thursday, in the funeral home.
