Mary Del Chestnut, 84, passed away March 30, 2018 at the home of her daughter in Springfield, Missouri. She was born to Haud (H.E.) Bolen and Delta Garber on August 7, 1933 in Galena, MO, and was married to ralph J. (Junior) Chestnut on May 26, 1951 in West Plains, MO. Mary was a 1951 graduate of West Plains High School and retired as a Branch Supervisor for Bank of America in 1999.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, and one sister. She is survived by her children, Jerome and Mary Schiman of Springfield, Lee (Buddy) Chestnut of Springfield, and Robert Chestnut of Rogersville; grandchildren Brian and Jennifer Hall of Republic, Matthew and Heather Squires of West Plains, JD and Mindy Schiman of Nixa, Jeffrey and Victoria Schiman of Marionville, and Lee and Kimberly King of Springfield; ten great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Naomi Shannon of West Plains, Harold and Connie Moushon of West Plains, and Neal and Betty Scott of Mountain Home, AR; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Stuart Union Cemetery with Rev. Logan Friend officiating. Donations may be made to the Stuart Union Cemetery Association, c/o Laurel Thompson, 1448 State Route 17, West Plains, MO 65775.
