Mary Allen, age 95, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away quietly on January 15, 2023. Mary was born on June 22, 1927, to Louise and Bailey McManus in Forsyth, Missouri.

She was a wife, a mother, and worked for many years in the insurance industry and later for Pitney Bowes. She went on to volunteer her time at Mercy Hospital. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church and enjoyed volunteering at the Next to New Shop.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Bette Chase Feagan; her brother, Robert McManus; first husband and father of her three children, Bill Sechler and second husband, B.J. Allen. Mary was incredibly loved and is survived by daughter, Karen and her husband Ron Cook of Naples, FL; daughter, Kathy Sechler; and son, Mark Sechler, both of Springfield. Mary had nine grandchildren: Tara Sullivan and Stacy Sullivan Nipstad (Josh), all of Springfield; Ryan (Rosee) Plymate, Stockton, MO and Sarah (Nick) Schofield, Springfield; Stan, Jake, Daniel, Joe, and Sophia Sechler, all of Springfield; along with 12 great-grandchildren.

Mary was always stylish and enjoyed playing bridge, traveling with her sister, and spending time with her family and grandchildren, especially outdoors – around the pool, lake, or ocean.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 26, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. A private family graveside service will be held at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
