Martha Marie Torrence, age 95 of Springfield, MO passed away Sunday, August 26, 2012 in Magnolia Square Nursing Home. She was born September 11, 1916, the daughter of John and Della (McGinnis) Hilton in Ozark, MO. She was saved and baptized at Prospect Baptist Church of Ozark, MO. Martha was preceded in death by her parents, John and Della Hilton, her husband, Cecil Torrence, four brothers; Ward Hilton, Elmer Hilton, Omer Hilton, and Loyal Hilton; and one grandson, Timothy Breeden. She is survived by her son; John Torrence, Kansas City, MO; her daughter, Carol Breeden, Springfield, MO; two nephews, David Hilton, Great Falls, VA and Frank Hilton, Ozark, MO; three nieces, Wilma Dean Hilton, Springfield, MO, Wilda Jean Brock, Springfield, MO and Elaine Fischer, Lampe, MO and one granddaughter-in-law, Lisa Stueve, Republic, MO. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 29th 2012 from 1:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home with graveside services following at 2:00 p.m. in Eastlawn Cemetery with the Rev. Eddie Lyons officiating.
