Martha Ann "Martie" (Burns) Revis Nichols grew up in Pittsburg, Kansas. She was born on February 24, 1931. Martha was the only child of V.L. "Bob" Burns and Nola B. Burns. She passed away peacefully on November 9, 2015 in Arizona.

Martie graduated from high school in Pittsburg, Kansas. She attended SMS where she majored in art and was a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority.

Martie participated in Garden Club, Art Group, and Sorelle Club while living in Springfield, Missouri. She worked as a teacher's aide at Joyland Kindergarten, Neff's in the Brentwood Shopping Center, The Paris, and Maxon's in the Battlefield Mall. Martie attended King's Way United Methodist Church.

Martie moved to Scottsdale, Arizona in 1986 and was employed at Capriccio Fine Jewelry. She loved people, children, fashion, jewelry design, and her pets.

Martie was preceded in death by her parents, and husbands Joe Edd Revis and Dr. Arthur Nichols. Martie's only child, Sue Ann Revis, of Cave Creek, Arizona, passed away in February 2016. Martie is survived by a niece, Nancy Jo (Revis) Reynolds, her husband Thomas Reynolds, and their two daughters, Kimberly and Carrie.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Martie's wish was not to have a formal funeral service. Burial will be at Hazelwood Cemetery on Friday, June 17 following her daughter's funeral service at King's Way United Methodist Church.
