Marshawn "Shon" Kelly, a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, partner, loving aunt and friend, passed away on November 17, 2024, at the age of 50. Born on March 25, 1974, in Chicago, Illinois, Marshawn blessed everyone around her with her vibrant spirit and loving heart.

She was the cherished daughter of Donell Kelly and Ruby Kelly and the granddaughter of Ruben Kelly and Kathrine Rodwell. Marshawn attended Paul Robeson High School, where she began cultivating her creative talents and the bold personality that so many came to adore.

Marshawn had a deep love for fashion and design, leaving a legacy of creativity and flair. However, her greatest joy came from her family. She often said her proudest accomplishments were her five beloved children: Bryan Stokes Jr., Ty'Shiana Thompson, Tyshawn Kelly, Donell Stokes, and Brittiany Stokes. Marshawn was also the devoted grandmother of 14 grandchildren, who brought her endless pride and happiness.

For 13 years, Marshawn shared a life filled with unconditional love with her devoted partner, Albert "A.C." Watson. Together, they faced life's challenges side by side, embodying love, loyalty, and commitment through both sickness and health.

Marshawn had seven siblings, each of whom held a special place in her heart: Keith Kelly, Stevie Kelly, Debra Kelly, Derrick Kelly, Ronnie Throw, Brenda Guice, and her twin sister, Marshell Kelly. Marshawn shared an especially deep bond with Marshell, whom she protected fiercely throughout her life, showing the depth of her loyalty and love.

Known affectionately as "Shon," Marshawn had a larger-than-life personality that lit up every room. She was strong-willed, loyal, and protective, with a magnetic energy that made her the life of every gathering. Whether she was dancing to her favorite 90's R&B slow jams or hosting celebrations filled with laughter, her presence was unforgettable.

Marshawn will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her, but her legacy of love, resilience, and creativity will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

A celebration of Marshawn's life will be held at noon on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Deliverance Temple Church, Springfield, MO. Family and friends are invited to honor the memory of an extraordinary woman whose love and light will never fade.
