In 1994, Marshall married Jean St. Clair, and they resided in Georgia. When Jean passed away in 2018 Marshall moved to Missouri and was a resident of the Missouri Veterans Home in Mount Vernon, Missouri.

He is survived by three sons, a daughter, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and the St. Clair family, who whole-heartedly welcomed him into their family.
