Marla Adrienne Higgins, 71, of Springfield, Missouri passed away at Mercy Hospital on September 11, 2024. She was born in Chicago, Illinois to Jack and Elaine Pastko on February 6, 1953.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Pastko.

She is survived by her husband, Johnnie Higgins, her mother Elaine, her brothers Howard Pastko and Steve (Jan) Pastko, her daughter Robyn (Jason) Gelgand, her son Adam Wise, and four grandchildren Lucas, Austin, Jason, and Rebecca.

Marla graduated from Monroe High School in Sepulveda, California.  She worked as an executive assistant for a commercial real estate company in Ontario, California and had recently retired.  She enjoyed country line dancing, decorating her new home, and loved her two dogs, Cleo and Kelsey.

She married Johnnie Higgins in California in June 2002.  The couple settled in Rancho Cucamonga, California and recently relocated to Springfield, Missouri in January of 2024.

A graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 3600 North National Avenue at 2:00 pm on September 18, 2024, under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.  No public visitation is scheduled.

A post-service celebration of life will follow the internment at 1624 W. Farm Rd. 56, Springfield, MO  65803.
