Mark Alan Lunn, 49, Marshfield, passed away Monday, October 5, 2009 in St. John's after battling complications from an aneurysm surgery for several years. He was born December 15, 1959 in Springfield. Mark worked for 25 years in the auto parts industry as both a manager and owner. He was a 40 year member of University Heights Baptist Church. Mark loved his family spending as much time as possible with his daughter Heather. He loved the outdoors, farming, hunting, fishing and was a big NASCAR fan. He also loved to travel. He traveled to several different countries around the world. At an early age Mark enjoyed quarter horses and playing the drums and bass guitar. Mark is survived by his daughter, Heather, Fair Grove; his mother, Louise (Johnston), Springfield; two brothers, Mike and Debbie and niece Sieara, and Lance and Pamela, all of Springfield; cousins, Barbara Crockett, of Columbus, Ohio; Lucian Morrison, of Houston, Texas; and Gene Hunt, of Springfield; and close friends, Bill Williams and Robert Disken. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Carolyn, Margaret and Lisa, and all of the other nurses and physicians for all of the great care given to Mark over the past five years. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 12, 2009 in University Heights Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time in the church. Private graveside services were held in Maple Park Cemetery under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel.
