Mark Wayne Chastain, age 52, of Hixson, TN, passed this life into glory on November 13, 2014 in Ozark, MO. He was a lifelong resident of Springfield, a 1980 Hillcrest High graduate. He was a great musician, a great friend to all, a MoDot retiree, and a Navy Vet. He was a member of Cornerstone Church of God in Marionville, MO. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. Survivors include his wife, Mary Chastain; mother, Estelene Cox, of Crane, MO; father and stepmother, David and Joyce Chastain, of Highlandville, MO; brother, Michael Chastain (Eva), of Springfield, MO; sister, Kayla Hunter (Warren), of Hollister, MO; stepson, stepdaughter, niece, nephew, great nieces and nephews, and several aunts and uncles. A memorial service will be held at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home at 2 pm on Saturday, Nov 22, in Springfield, MO, with the Reverend Chuck Dunn officiating. A visitation with the family will be held from 1 pm until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Union Ridge Cemetery.
