Marjorie Ellen Scruton Bergmann Marjorie Ellen was brought into this world on a sunny day, June 2, 1933, much to the joy of her proud parents George and Margaret, in Greensborough, PA. She was the 5th of 6 beautiful Scruton sisters that broke hearts of countless boys at Smith-Cotton High School in Sedalia, Mo. After graduating, she married William C. Bergmann Sr., a veteran of WWII. In 1955 they gave birth to her only son, William Carl Bergmann Jr, who would forever be her proudest achievement. Later divorced and moved to Springfield, Mo, where she worked in retail management at Dillard's and Venture Department Stores until retirement. She lived a full and happy live, passing away unexpectedly on December 12, 2013. Her gregarious, honorary spirit and smile will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Margie is survived by her son Bill, wife Becky, grandchildren Ben and Kathryn, sisters Maureen and Judy, plus many nieces and nephews. Her family welcomes you to a celebration of Marjorie's life on Friday, December 27th at the Springfield Brewing Company, 305 S. Market Avenue, Springfield, Missouri 65806 from 1-3pm, with words of remembrance and prayer at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CASA of Southwest Missouri, 1111 S.
