Marjorie Violet (Miller) Barr, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2012. She was born November 29, 1920 in Plato, Mo., to Earl and Bess Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband, Berdett "BB" Barr; a daughter, Delynn Barr Elliott; and a sister, Doris Worthy. She is survived by a daughter, Lorna (Robert) Cribb of Creve Coeur, Mo.; a son, Tom B. (Susie) Barr of Springfield; a son-in-law, John (Sharon) Elliott of Denver, Colo.; and a sister, Joretta (Ed) Wools of St. James, Mo. Marjorie also leaves five grandsons and nine great-grandchildren. Marjorie was an excellent seamstress and did custom alterations for more than 50 years. She had many devoted clients in Springfield. Memorial and visitation for family and friends will be at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, March 3 in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home in Springfield. Marjorie will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Cemetery in Mountain Grove.
