Marilynn Haleen Sater, 91, Springfield, passed away on October 1, 2016 in her home. She was born in Cabool, MO on December 14, 1924.
She married Donald E. Sater in 1946, he preceded her in death in 2011.
She graduated from Washburn High School in 1942 and was a graduate of Missouri State University in teacher education.
She was active in Crosslines, Meals on Wheels, Springfield Art Museum, United Methodist Women and a longtime member of Grace United Methodist Church.
She was a believer in Jesus Christ and a great mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren. She especially was fond of her two great-granddaughters and great-grandson.
She is survived by her son, David and wife, Sharon Sater, Cassville, MO; daughter, Sally and her husband, Dan Wise, Springfield; grandchildren, Joshua Sater, Cassville, MO, Samantha Sater, Seattle, WA, Allison Wise Schnitzer and her husband, Steven, Scottsdale, AZ, Justin Wise, Springfield, and Wesley Wise, Springfield; three great-grandchildren, Adrianna and Gabriella Wise Lohr, Scottsdale, AZ and Parker Wise, Springfield; and a brother, Joe Stephens and his wife, Mary, Springfield.
There will be a family graveside service in Horner Cemetery in Cassville, MO on Monday, October 10, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation made to your favorite charity.
