Obituary

Marilyn Starnes-Biggs, aged 86, of Springfield, Missouri passed away at home, Saturday, June 27, 2026. She was born in Lebanon, MO to Milan and Lillian Randlph. After graduating from Lebanon High School, she attended MSU and while getting her degree she met W.E. “Bull” Starnes. They shared 40 years of marriage before Bull passed December, 17, 2000.

Together, Marilyn and Bull built Bull’s Trophy House and Marilyn’s Banners and Brainstorms Company. Marilyn was a talented seamstress, making many bridesmaid dresses and even cheerleading and Sugar Bear uniforms for MSU. She often had her ‘S’ cookies baked and ready to share and even made birthday cakes for the MSU basketball team.

After Bull passed, Marilyn married Rex Biggs and they were together 21 years until he passed on November 26, 2023. They enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends and family. Marilyn continued operating the Trophy store and celebrated 50+years in business.

Marilyn was proud to be a member at Twin Oaks, Central Christian Church, MSU Founder’s Club and supported MSU band and athletics.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Milan and Lillian Randolph, sister Jo Ann Lippman, first husband Bull Starnes and second husband Rex Biggs. She is survived by sister Joy Saville of Las Vegas, NV; daughters Susan Pon of Springfield, MO; Jacque Starnes of Strafford, MO; Chantel (Rusty) Rotert of Springfield, MO.
