Marie J. Johnston passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2023. She was born August 20, 1925, in St. Louis, Missouri to Marie and Joseph White.

She has gone to heaven to be with her husband of 58 years, William M. Johnston. Also preceded in death by her stepfather, Glen Pitchford and her sister Ruthie Middendorf. She is survived by her loving son, Greg Johnston, granddaughters, Jill Winans and Christa Spivy, her niece Mary Kay and husband Rick Naber, great niece Kelsey and husband Tom Bach, great-great nephew August Bach, all who meant the world to her.

Marie was a member of the Campbell United Methodist Church of Springfield. She worked for 22 years in the business office of St. Johns Regional Health Center of Springfield. She was employee of the year in 1985. She was a devoted St. Louis Cardinal fan and loved to listen to Mike Shannon on the radio.

A special thank you to all her compassionate care givers. She will be missed by all of us who loved her dearly.
