Marie Harbert, 93, Springfield, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2014 in Mercy Hospital. She was born March 28, 1921 in Hamilton County, Texas, the daughter of James Samuel and Mary Jane Adams. In 2001 Marie moved to Springfield with her husband to be closer to family. She loved gardening and enjoyed being with her grandsons and their families. Marie was a member of Seminole Baptist Temple. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, David Lee Harbert; eight siblings; and her son-in-law, Bob Ruff. Marie is survived by her daughter, Yvonne Ruff; son, John Wayne Bryan; three grandsons and their wives, Troy and Becky Ruff, Todd and Karen Ruff and Robert and Terry Ruff; nine great-grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 21, 2014 in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home with Pastor Mel Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Park Cemetery.
