Marian L. Shipman, 92, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Glendale Gardens Health and Rehab. She was a homemaker and a loving wife for 72 years before her husband passed away in 2019. She was a kind and gentle woman whose presence was always welcomed and loved by everyone.  She was also a feisty and independent woman.  Marian was a military spouse for 27 years and made moving frequently and setting up house look easy.  Her favorite job was head of volunteers at the Balboa Naval Hospital in San Diego, California. She loved to paint and read and would pass books down to her daughters-in-law and granddaughters. God walks beside her now and brings eternal peace to her heart and soul.

Marian was preceded in death by her parents Hamilton Stewart and Ida Bell (Davis) Stewart. She is survived by two sons, Mark and Jeffrey Shipman; one daughter, Jody Lynette Shipman; two granddaughters, Laura Strasser and Marian Watkins; one grandson, Shane Spurgeon; five great-granddaughters, Lillian and Abigail Watkins, Hannah Strasser and Brook and Sydney Spurgeon, and a brother, Robert Stewart.
