Marian E. Mattlage, age 92, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away May 3, 2025, in Springfield, Missouri. Marian was born to Hugo and Leona Emes on July 6, 1932, in Plymouth, Wisconsin.

Marian graduated from Springfield High in 1950. She attended nursing training from 1951-1952 and graduated in 1952. She would go on to meet Floyd Mattlage, and the two would be married May 5, 1956.

Marian was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Collie Club of America, Springfield Art Museum, Canasta Ladies Card Club, and Boy Scouts of America. Marian especially loved Collies, and spending time sewing.

Marian is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Mattlage; her son, Scott Mattlage; and daughter-in-law, Connie Mattlage.

She is survived by her son, Stephen Mattlage and his wife Donna, of Freeman, Missouri.

A memorial service will be held on June 6, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Gorman Scharpf Funeral Home. A visitation will be held prior to the service starting at 1:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
