IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marcia C.
Biggs
October 31, 1939 – June 21, 2021
Marcia C. Biggs died in her home surrounded by family on Monday June 21, 2021 in Springfield, MO. She was born Marcia Louise Clock on October 31, 1939 to Charles and Neva Clock in Kansas City, KS. She was a graduate of Paseo High School in 1957, and continued her education at St.Luke's School of Nursing graduating as a Registered Nurse in 1960. In August of 1962, she married her high school sweetheart, John Winston Biggs. Over the course of their nearly 60 years of marriage, they lived in several states including Missouri, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Iowa.
Marcia was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Springfield. She enjoyed her involvement in many other organizations including PEO, DAR, and Daughters of the King.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Neva Clock. She is survived by her husband John, her three children Anne Breid and husband Greg, Pat Biggs, and Mary McMillen and husband Trent. She was a doting grandmother to Cameron Biggs and wife, Kaya, Caitlyn Biggs, Sam Breid, and Ashton, Grant, Rhett, Tanner, and Landon McMillen. She was also blessed beyond measure with two beautiful great granddaughters Harlee Biggs and Raelynn Biggs. Marcia has a sister-in-law, Sondra Biggs, two brothers James Clock and wife, Connie, and John Clock and wife Donna, two nieces, Cindy Dierks, husband Pat, and Carol Goetz and husband Pat. Great nephews and nieces Ryan, Nathan and Natalie Dierks, and Hudson, Jordan and Neva Goetz. Family meant everything to Marcia, and she was proud of her role as Matriarch. She loved a good old fashioned Family Reunion, and was the keeper of great wisdom when it came to family history.
The family wishes to thank the medical professionals that worked with Marcia, and most especially the team with Compassus Hospice. Our experience with Hospice was brief, but their support to the whole family was invaluable.
