Marcella E. Meacheam, age 91, of Springfield passed away August 17, 2015 at The Maples Nursing Home. She was born to Leonard and Winnie Estes in Clever, MO on July 12, 1924. She graduated from Clever High School in 1942. She married Edwin James Meacheam on May 10, 1942. Marcella loved bridge, investment club and golf. She was a longtime member of Highland Springs Country Club. She worked at St. John's for 47 years. In addition to James, she was preceded in death by her parents and two infant brothers; and one sister. Marcella is survived by her sister and husband, Vernay and Tony Kuzas; brother-in-law and wife, Lloyd and Wanda Meacheam; brother-in-law, Wilburn Moore; sister-in-law, Betty Sue Meacheam; nieces and husbands, Kim and Greg Marler, Brad and Terrea Fann, Charlotte and David Martin and Tim and Kitty Goodpasture; and nephews and their wives, Dan and Mary Meacheam, and Ron and Kathleen Bowen. Visitation will be Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 10:30 am at King's Way United Methodist Church, with memorial service immediately following at 11:30 am in the church, under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home Memorial contributions may be made to King's Way United Methodist Church, 2401 S.
