Maralyn L. Kraft passed away June 4th at Neighborhoods at Quail Creek. She was 95 years old. Maralyn was married to Kenneth Kraft, former business director of Springfield Public Schools. Her parents were Osa and Nellie Godfrey.

Maralyn taught 6th grade at Oak Grove Elementary and Sunshine School in Springfield. She was a loyal member of Schweitzer United Methodist Church. She was active in Women's Circle and helped with the library.

Maralyn was preceded in death by her son Steven Linney Kraft, . She is survived by son Kevin Kraft, daughter Sheri Meyer and her husband Travis, and daughter-in-law Sarah Ernst and her husband Ralph.

She is also survived by grandchildren: Samantha Meyer, Ethan Meyer, Donnie Kraft, Shawn Kraft, Micah Kraft, Caleb Kraft. She is survived by great grandchildren: James Haney, Rhys Kraft, Abram Kraft, Isaac Kraft, and Atlas Meyer.

Maralyn enjoyed doing things with her family. She loved to travel, play canasta, read, square dance, and was a lifetime learner. She loved traveling with the Huntleys, the Nulls, and the Bennetts. Every traveling experience brought back more knowledge and fun. She loved American Indian Art, especially from the Southwest.

The funeral will be at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home at 3:00 on Monday, the 8th of June. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Downtown Kiwanis Club. (P.O. Box 9791, Springfield, MO 65801)
