Mamie Maxine Meaders, 85, Springfield, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2010 in Christian Health Care East. She was born March 5, 1925 in Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of Alonzo Prize and Lillian Frances (Polk) Courtney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander Clark Meaders and a son, Thomas Clark Meaders. Mamie is survived by a daughter and her husband, Pamela Jane and David Yates; a daughter-in-law, Sherry Meaders; grandchildren, Kelly Schultz and husband, Loren; Colin Yates and fiance, Katy Dimmitt; Adam Yates; Brennan Meaders and wife, Sharon; and Andrea Matthiew and husband, Joe; and great-granddaughter, Brianna Schultz. A special thanks to all present and past employees at Christian Health Care East of Springfield for their compassionate care during the past eight years, and to the staff of Regional Hospice. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Monday, September 27, 2010 in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Christian Health Care East of Springfield Residents Fund or the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks.
