Mallory Loys Johnson, 35, of Springfield, passed away in her home on Friday, February 28, 2014. She was born November 28, 1978, the daughter of Pete Johnson and Penitia Tureaud in Springfield. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Lawrence J. Tureaud; grandmother, Lois C. McMorris; brother, Cecil Marcell Cross III; and uncles, Lawrence J. Tureaud, Savoy L. Tureaud and Arthur L. Tureaud. Mallory leaves to mourn her son, DaQuan Tyree Johnson; father, Pete Johnson; mother, Penitia Brown; step-father, Marc A. Brown; brothers, Shaun R. George, Marcell L. Cross and Lawrence D. Carlock; sisters, Teressa (Alonzo) Burton, Tera Johnson, Tikesha Rodriguez, Denise M. Cross, Patricia Brown, Ashley Brown and Lorri Tureaud; aunts, Patricia Straks and Ella Tureaud; uncles, Joe Brown, Jenelle Brown, Bobby Brown, Arzo (Angela) Tureaud and Miles McMorris; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends of the family, uncle Robbie Robinson, Teresa Johnson, Missy Petaway, Cecil Marcell and Elizabeth "Liz" Cross. Visitation will be Saturday, March 8, 2014 from 1 to 2pm in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Services will follow at 2pm in the funeral home, with The Rev. James H. Robinson officiating.
