M. Rene Simioni, passed away April 15, 2026 at her home in Springfield, MO. Rene was born in rural Arkansas in 1939, she was 87 years old.

Rene moved to Chicago, Illinois in 1954 with her parents and younger brother, Barron. There she met and married the love of her life, Henry “Hank” Simioni and together they raised two daughters, Tamara and Cindy.

She was involved in Girl Scouts her entire adult life, serving as a scout leader, and making dozens of lifelong friends in an adult girl scout troop. Rene was also a member of Northwest Church of Christ in Chicago, and later also attended Assembly of God churches in Illinois and Missouri where she was a Sunday School teacher. She was a homemaker and wonderful hostess to so many.

Rene worked for the River Grove Public Library in Illinois for many years in the 1980’s and 1990’s until moving to Lampe, MO in the 1990’s.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry, and brother, Barron. She is survived by daughters Tamara and Cindy, son-in-laws Bob and John, grandchildren, Luke, Dean, Garrett, Julianna and Joseph and great-grandchildren Charlie, Leif and Vinny.

A memorial service will be held at Ravenwood Senior Living on Republic Road in Springfield, MO at 2 pm Saturday, April 18, 2026.  All are welcome to attend.
